Muhammad Faiq Shah, founder and chairman of the Amun Taraqqi Party said imposing ‘selected’ on people wasn’t the right solution to the country’s crisis but transparent, free and impartial polls is the dire need of the hour.
Faiq stressed congenial and level playing field should be provided to all parties, so as a result of that a true public representative government could be formed.
Addressing a mass contact campaign in different parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab on Thursday criticised the focus on personal animosity instead of resolving the country’s crises, stating, “We aim to rescue the country from economic, political, and international crises.
Shah highlighted the worsening state of affairs, contrasting it with the increasing problems due to the policies of old politicians. While reacting to remarks by N-league leaders, Shah said the claims of Rana Sannaullah that PML-N to form the next government was disrespect to the sanctity of the public vote and urged institutions, court and election commission to take it notice.
Even league leaders saying that they have done talk, and Bilawal would be too agreed, so Isn’t it humiliating to respect 220 million people and institutions?
He said people should decide what is best for him, but before that the pressure, rigging and unnecessary use of wealth have created hurdles in a congenial atmosphere for the election and public authority.
The similar claims would further create misperceptions and instability in the country, Shah added.
The ATP chief said if the purpose is to delegate power to Nawaz Sharif so don’t bother to use billions of rupees on election and participation of the people in power. He made it clear that stability won’t come until the reforms in the electoral system and conduct of free, fair and credible elections.
Commenting on the regional scenario, Shah said the situation is getting worse at western and eastern border.
He said the economy is becoming further feeble instead of strengthening.
He warned instability is detrimental for the country and stressed all people and segments should work together for its elimination.
