Caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Justice Retired Syed Arshad Hussain Shah on Sunday visited Abdul Wali Khan University to review the arrangements at the Center established for Medical and Dental College Admissions Test (MDCAT) at the University, sources said.
Sources added that the concerned authorities at the center briefed the Chief Minister regarding the arrangements made for the MDCAT test. The concerned authorities told the chief minister that fool proof arrangements have been made for clean and transparent conduct of MDCAT.
Total 5443 candidates are registered in Mardan center for MDCAT. It was further told that the entry of any unauthorized person is prohibited in the examination center premises and all types of devices, including mobile phones and watches, have been banned in the examination center premises, Full body search of candidates and examination staff has been conducted.
The mobile service in the area has been suspended through the Pakistan Telecommunications Authority.
The Chief Minister was further informed that the required strength of supervising staff has also been ensured for conducting the test in the desired manner whereas Section 144 of CrPC has already been invoked by the district administration to ban the use of all kinds of electronic gadgets in the vicinity of the center.
