PESHAWAR: Security forces have arrested a most wanted terrorist of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) in an important operation in Mardan Region on Saturday. According to a report, the arrested terrorist was planning to carry out terror incidents in Peshawar and affiliated with banned TTP. The report said that with timely action by the security forces, Peshawar has been saved from a major terrorist attack. The arrested terrorist has been shifted to an undisclosed location for further investigation. The statement said that during the initial investigation, the terrorist had disclosed important information. The security forces have also recovered a large number of ammunition, explosive materials used in suicide jackets, detonators and weapons from tribal district Khyber on the identification of the arrested terrorist. “The terrorists of TTP were planning major terror incidents in Peshawar in the coming days,” the statement added and said that the forces foiled major incidents of terror and held the most wanted terrorist. “The Pakistan Army will not allow any enemy to succeed under any circumstances and operations will continue until the last terrorist is eliminated,” it added.
