Health Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa issued a decision to compile a record of medical equipment of hospitals.
In this connection, the Health Deptt has issued a directive to all the hospitals to compile records of equipment currently in the hospital. A letter in this connection was issued by the Health Department to District Health Officers, MS and Hospital Directors.
The hospitals were directed to compile data of medical equipment that should be collected in hospitals across the province and compile all data related to passive and active machinery as well.
The hospital administration will compile a complete record of the goods lying in the stores and after getting the details, the equipment will be given to the respective hospitals on the basis of need.
Medical supplies have been sent to hospitals where they are not needed, health department officials said. There are hospitals where medical equipment is in dire need, health department officials said.
