PESHAWAR
President of non-governmental organization Saibaan Development Organization Mardan Muhammad Arif Sunday said that they should play their role effectively to ensure the participation of women in the political and electoral process.
Playing role to ensure participation in the political and electoral process, he expressed these views while addressing the ceremony of receiving the certificate from the District Election Commission Officer Zia-ul-Rahim at the Election Commission Office Mardan.
He said that political parties should ensure equal participation of women in the electoral process signifies women’s empowerment and gender equality. When women participate in elections as voters, candidates, election organizers or party supporters, the electoral process becomes more inclusive and democracy is strengthened through this way after the participation of both men and women on equal terms.
