PESHAWAR
Provincial Election Commissioner Shamshad Khan administered oath to 36 designated District Returning Officers (DROs) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa here on Tuesday at a local hotel in Peshawar. The DROs will perform duties for the general elections of 20124.
Shamshad Khan urged the DROs to perform their duties as election officials as per election rules. He said that the District Returning Officers should ensure the conduct of transparent elections by utilizing all resources.
The Provincial Election Commissioner asked the DROs not to take into account any political pressure in conducting the elections. Meanwhile, Chief Secretary KP Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry also visited the training session of DROs.
In his address, he said that today is a very important day, ROs have issued a public notice
He said that the DROs will be fully supported in conducting the elections in a transparent and peaceful manner.
