Pakistan Bar Council |(PBC) has expressed serious reservations about the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and raised questions on election procedure, constituencies and distribution of seats.
PBC emphasized on providing equal opportunities for all political parties in general elections.
According to statement issued by the Pakistan Bar Council, equal opportunities should be provided to ensure transparency in the electoral process. Imbalance in the distribution of seats was observed.

Statement further said that it is clear that the conduct of the commission raises serious doubts about the integrity of the general elections.
PBC demanded that the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP)should take notice of these discrepancies instead of validating every act of the ECP. Equal opportunities should be provided to holders.
Bar Council in consultation with the Supreme Court Bar will soon convene an All-Pakistan Representative Convention to announce a plan of action for the lawyers’ movement.
The declaration further states that the aim of the Lawyers Convention is to ensure the conduct of free, fair and transparent general elections, transparent elections are not possible in the presence of the present Chief Election Commissioner.
The Bar Council is committed to promoting transparency in the electoral process to uphold democratic principles.
