ISLAMABAD
Former Chairman Senate Raza Rabbani has condemned the violence and disrespect by police officials against former foreign minister and Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaaf (PTI) vice president Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
He also demanded the removal of involved police official from their position.
In his condemnation statement he said I strongly condemn the disrespecting action against Shah Mehmood Qureshi regardless that he is former foreign minister and politician but top of all he is the citizen of Pakistan. He deserve the most respect.
Former chairman Senate said police is dealing own citizens like they are enemies of Pakistan.
Raza Rabbani maintained that the way Shah Mehmood Qureshi was seated in vehicle is condemnable. Two days earlier violence was also done against peaceful Baloch protestors and barbarian violence was made against men and women and they were arrested.
Statement further said the similar action against citizens in rural areas are usual matter.
Former chairman senate demanded that the officials involved in these kind of actions must be removed from their offices immediately.
