Regarding the workload of Pakistan Test team vice-captain Shaheen Shah Afridi, the team management in Australia has planned that the left-arm fast bowler will not bowl in the nets before the Sydney Test.
According to the team management’s plan, Shaheen will only bowl a few overs a day before the Test and captain Shaan Masood will also make him bowl as needed during the Test.
In the 2 Tests against Australia, the left-arm fast bowler has bowled the highest 99.2 overs for both teams so far. 23-year-old Shaheen Afridi has won the Pakistan Super League title twice for Lahore Qalandars and is the captain of the Pakistan T20 team and has taken 113 wickets at an average of 26.71 in 29 Tests.
Shaheen Afridi has taken 8 wickets at an average of 41.62 in the 2 Tests of the Qadir Benu Trophy against Australia so far.
Team management has decided to take care of their main bowler in the Sydney Test.
