Court seeks report from RPO Rwp on alleged kidnapping or disappearance of proposers, seconders of PTI candidates

Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench has sought report today (Tuesday) from Regional Police Officer (RPO) Rawalpindi on the petitions filed in regard to alleged kidnapping or disappearance of proposers and seconders of PTI candidates. The court ordered CPO Rawalpindi either these persons be traced and they be either released or be presented in the court.
These orders were issued by the court led by Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan on the petitions filed PTI candidate Major (Retd) Tahir Sadiq from NA-49 Attock and Ghulam Murtaza Satti from NA-51 Murree.
During the hearing of the case, Maj (Retd) Tahir Sadiq had taken the plea in his petition that his proposer Saadat Khan was been arrested by police while Ghulam Murtaza Satti took the plea that his proposer and seconder Saqib Satti and Farrukh Murtaza Satti were arrested by police.
Muhammad Fayyaz Kundwal counsel for Maj (Retd) Tahir Sadiq while Habib ur Rehman advocate counsel for Ghulam Murtaza Satti appeared in the court.
RPO Rawalpindi and DSP of respective circle appeared in the court during the hearing of the case on being summoned by the court. On being inquired by the court the police expressed ignorance.
The court inquired if the local police don’t know the man has gone where then who knows about him. The local police should know that the man died or was murdered and he had disappeared on his own.
The court remarked this is duty of police. You should know the man is where.
The court warned if these men are not recovered then the court would order to register FIR against the local police. And all will come to open during investigation after FIR.
The counsel for Ghulam Murtaza Sattid told the court we requested the CPO to get release our men.
Upon it CPO directed SSP Operations to get release the men. SSP operations arranged our talks with SHO Murree.
SHO Murree told about releasing the men after talking to higher authorities. But the telephone number of SHO Murree is going switched off.
The court maintained we adjourn the hearing of this case till Tuesday. The court ordered CPO to trace these men and later they be either released or be presented in the court.
