WASHINGTON
US Senator and former presidential candidate Bernie Sanders has said that the US Congress should immediately stop Israeli funding due to violations of international laws and immoral military operations in Gaza.
According to a foreign news agency, while criticizing Israel’s brutal actions against innocent citizens in Gaza and genocide of Palestinians, he added that Americans should understand that the Israeli war against Palestinians is being fought with American bombs, shells and other weapons.
Bernie Sanders said, “Enough is enough, Congress should stop funding, American taxpayers should not be made complicit in the massacre of more women, children and innocent Palestinians in Gaza.”
It should be noted that American President Joe Biden wants to give another 10 billion dollars in aid to Israel, but Bernie Sanders, rejecting his proposal, has demanded from Congress to stop such funding. However Berni Sander is is facing severe criticism for his allies not calling for a ban.
