The Charasadda police onThursday issued their annual report of the breakdown of crimes, arrests, DRCsperformance and recoveries made by the force during the year 2023.As per report, under the NationalAction Plan, the police of the district has conducted 728 search and strikeoperations against anti-social elements in the last year, while police arrested1349 wanted persons, 2909 suspects and 11537 people wanted by the police inother serious cases, attempted murder, theft, robberies.
During the search and strike operation,blockades and various operations, Charsadda police. 11 gangs of Rahzani andcarlifters were exposed and 39 accused were arrested, Rs1.2 million, 10 motorcars and three motorcycles were recovered from the possession of the accused,1361 accused were arrested by tracing 133 blind cases of murder, theft, robberyand snatching in 2023.
During the anti-narcotics operations,1625 cases were registered against drug dealers and drug smugglers and 1753accused were arrested.The report said that the police forcein the year seized 405 kg of hashish, 242 kg of ice, 28 kg of opium, 27 kg ofheroin and 57 liters of liquor.
“542 cases were registered againstelements involved in aerial firing and 651 accused were arrested,” it added.
The police arrested 3624 suspectsinvolved in the crime of possession of illegal weapons, and from theirpossession 3959 pistols, 158 SMGs, 227 shotguns, 100 rifles, 16 Kalakovs, 14hand grenades, 10 Gazprima cards, 1003 detonators and 456 yards of safetyfuses.
Similarly, the police of Charasaddahave arrested 299 accused during illegal operations against residentialtenants.
In the year 2023, the traffic police impounded 161252 vehicles forviolating traffic rules and collected a fine of 76711700 and collected them inthe government treasury.
Against 643 applications received bythe district-wide Dispute Resolution Council (DRC), 334 public disputes wereresolved amicably.
In Police Assistance Lines (PAL), 559tenants have entered, police clearances have been issued to 10,403 citizens and7,831 missing reports have been issued.
District Police Officer (DPO) CharsaddaNazir Khan said that the nose around the criminals has been tightened againstthe criminal elements, Charsadda Police is trying to protect the life andproperty of the people and the elimination of drugs from the district is thefirst priority.
