During the tenure of the coalition and caretaker government, the debts increased by 12 thousand 430 billion rupees in just one year.
With reference to the State Bank document, it was informed that the debt of the federal government has increased to 63 thousand 390 billion rupees by November 2023.
According to the document, the domestic debt of the federal government reached 40 thousand 956 billion rupees, while the foreign debt of the federal government increased to 22 thousand 434 billion rupees. This increase in the debt of the central government took place during November 2022 to November 2023.
During the first 5 months of the current fiscal year (July to November 2023), debt of the federal government increased by 2 thousand 549 billion rupees as compared to October, the debt of the federal government increased by 907 billion rupees in November 2023, documents said.
According to the document released by the State Bank, in November 2022, the debt of the federal government was 50 thousand 959 billion rupees, while in June 2023, the volume of federal government debt was 60 thousand 841 billion rupees.
