Awami National Party (ANP) leader Aimal Wali Khan has tendered apology in contempt of court case.
He appeared in Peshawar High Court (PHC) in contempt of court case Thursday.
The Chief Justice (CJ) PHC while moving to Aimal Wali Khan said you are very young and are like my child. My son is your age fellow.
Aimal Wali Khan said I have only complained.
The CJ PHC remarked men don’t complain. It is job of women to complain. Leave complaining.
The counsel for the petitioner said our cases are not fixed here. Aimal Wali Khan has filed case which has not been fixed.
Aimal Wali Khan took the plea in the court cases of one party are fixed but our cases are not fixed. You are conducting our media trial.
The CJ PHC remarked I tell you. Your case was fixed for two times but your counsel did not appear. Therefore the hearing was adjourned.
The CJ PHC inquired from Aimal Wali Khan have you ever come to me that this case be fixed for hearing. You are arguing then I send this case to larger bench. Aimal Wali Khan said we respect the courts. I can not even think of committing contempt of court.
The counsel for petitioner said the court heard our case with tolerance. We regret.
The CJ PHC remarked Bacha Khan and Wali Khan are not only your grandfather but they are our grandfather too. Go and give statement this way. Refute it whatever you have said. After your statement my family asks from me should we leave Peshawar or not.
The CJ PHC remarked while smiling” I gave reply to my family if he is pathan then we too are pathan.
