KOHAT: The Kohat City Circle Police on Friday claimed to have arrested the ringleader and two members of an Afghan thieves’ gang who stole various gadgets from the PTCL exchange here. The action was taken under the supervision of DSP City Nawab Khan, SHO City Waqar Afridi, ASI Rauf Khan and in-charge Tehsil Post Faizan Sattar along with a police team. The stolen valuables were also recovered from the arrested gang. The arrested gang of thieves belongs to Afghanistan, police said, adding that eight electric batteries and copper wires were recovered from their possession. Police said the members of the gang broke the doors of the telephone exchange located at Liaquat Memorial Women and Children Hospital and stole several batteries and wires and went into hiding. The accused Afghan thieves identified as Naseer, Sher Alam and Allah Noor were shifted to police station for further interrogation. APP
