International League T20 (ILT20) franchise Desert Vipers has signed former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir for the second edition of the tournament.
Desert Vipers director Tom Moody expressed confidence that Aamir’s addition to his team will further strengthen their bowling attack.
Tom Moody said Amir’s signing was a smart move. He is familiar with the conditions in the UAE having played for the New York Strikers under the coach of Karl Crowe last month.
Mohammad Amir has become the fourth Pakistani player to be selected by the Vipers. He is now joined by compatriots Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shadab Khan and Azam Khan.
The 31-year-old fast bowler has plenty of experience as he has played 259 T20 matches and has taken 303 wickets, including 5 wickets in the match twice. He was also part of Karachi Kings when the team won the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in 2020.
