PESHAWAR: Tension over a land dispute between Gujjar and Akazai tribes in Torghar district has eased as MPA ZareenGul has been empowered to decide the issue amicably in a grand jirga.
oth tribes have been confronting each other for the last several years and lost several people in clashes over a piece of land measuring thousands of kanals in Torghar, previously a tribal territory of Mansehra district.
The jirgaof Gujjar tribe held in Chargodig area of the district was attended by elders and tribesmen where they, after long consultations, granted powers of their tribes to MPA Zareen Gul.
