Islamabad: Caretaker Federal Government has appointed Ahmad Ishaq Jahangir as DG FIA and the official notification in this regard has also been issued. After the approval of Federal Government, the establishment division has issued notification for the appointment of new DG FIA. According to notification, Ahmad Ishaq Jahangir, grade 21 officer of the police service, was also serving in the FIA earlier. Ahmad Ishaq Jahangir is also head of JIT investigating the anti-judiciary campaign. Ahmad Ishaq Jahangir has also served as additional DG of FIA Cyber Crime Wing. Ahmad Ishaq Jahangir has also served in Punjab Police. The post of FIA was vacant after the retirement of former DG FIA Mohsin Hassan Butt. Online
