Peshawar(PR):The 21st meeting of Local Government Commission was held on Thursday at Civil Secretariat Peshawar with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister for Local Government Inayatullah in the chair.
The meeting was attended by members of Commission, MPAs Sardar Muhammad Idris, Mehmood Bhattani, Secretary Law Muhammad Arifeen, Secretary Local Government Syed Jamal uddin Shah, Dr Iqabal Khalil, Shumaila Tabassum and DG Local Government.
The Commission sought the written statements of District Nazims Peshawar and Torghar within one week. The Commission also thread barely discussed the ADP 2015-16 for District Tank as well as the complaints received from various district and Tehsil Councils.
The meeting decided that the Local Government Commission would solve the complaints according to rules of law.
Addressing the meeting, Senior Minister for Local Government Inayatullah said that Local Government system was playing a pivotal role in providing basic facilities to the general masses.
He said due to the efforts of provincial government, political interference in all the institutions has been stopped and merit has been ensured to get better results at all levels.
