Minister visits soil, water conservation office

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Agriculture Minister, Muhammad Sajjad here Wednesday visited Soil and Water Conservation Office where he was briefed about ongoing projects. Speaking on the occasion, he stressed measure to ensure conservation of water for improving agriculture output and directed the department to take necessary steps in this connection. He also highlighted threats due to construction of residential societies on agriculture land and said that steps should be taken to control mushroom growth of societies. The minister also directed proper planning to cope with the dangers arisen in back drop of climate change. He also suggested formulation of monitoring committee to protect agriculture land and directed department to take steps for achieving self-sufficiency. APP
