CTO reviews traffic arrangements in Ramzan Bazaar

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Peshawar Dr Zahidullah visited Ramadhan Bazaars in the city on Wednesday and reviewed comprehensive traffic arrangements for the convenience of citizen around the market.
A statement issued here said that CTO paid visits to Ramadan markets established in Hayatabad, Bord Bazar, University Town, Dalzak Road and Tehkal and inspected traffic management.
Dr Zahidullah reviewed the flow of traffic and the improvements resulting from the actions taken by City Traffic Police Peshawar against the encroaching mafia while the performance of traffic officers and wardens in clearing the road for all types of traffic.
He said that strict action should be taken against those who violate the nine parking zones to provide travel facilities to the citizens during Ramadan.
CTO Peshawar directed the traffic authorities to maintain the flow of traffic before Iftar and during Taraweeh prayer and keep the routes leading to markets clear for all types of traffic.
He said that the traffic staff should clear the footpaths from the encroaching mafia so that the pedestrians do not face any kind of difficulties. Dr Zahidullah has said that all capabilities should be utilized to improve the flow of traffic uninterruptedly and no negligence will be tolerated in this regard.
He furthered that the traffic police officers and officials should ensure the provision of better services to the citizens by following the policy of first salam then kalam.
He said that the business community should cooperate with the traffic staff to eliminate encroachment from the city and ensure smooth flow of traffic.
