Wave of inflation continues in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: The waves of inflation continued in Peshawar during the Holy Month of Ramazan as the price of Onion, Tomato, Garlic and Ginger increased in the vegetable Market and the Vander and shopkeeper did not follow the price list issued by the district administration. During a visit, the price of Onion increased to Rs 250, Tomato Rs 180, Garlic reached all time high and now being sold at Rs 700 and the rate of Ginger also reached to Rs 540 per kg. Likewise, an increase is also witnessed in their vegetables including Potato 140, Kachalu 260, Green pepper 150, Capsicum 210, Eggplant 120, Cauliflower 110, Okra 260 are being sold per kg. The rates of the fruits in the fruits market also increased and now the Apple is being sold 410 per kg likewise, Pomegranate Rs. 540, Malta Rs. 370, Stoberry Rs. 240, Amardo Rs. 280 while bananas are being sold at Rs. 200 per dozen. The price of live chicken is Rs 480 per kg, witnessing a 20 rupees increase while the price of eggs per dozen remains at Rs 330. APP
