ISLAMABAD
Islamabad High Court (IHC) has ordered to remove name of PTI leader and senior lawyer Babar Awan from Exit Control List (ECL). The petition seeking removal of name of Babar Awan came up for hearing before Justice Saman Rafat Imtiaz Friday. Lawyer Riasat Ali Azad, president high court bar appeared on behalf of Babar Awan.
The counsel for the petitioner took the plea that name of petitioner has been put in ECL.
He requested the court to order for removing the name of Babar Awan from ECL.
The court while ordering to remove the name of Babar Awan from ECL wrapped up the petition.
It is pertinent to mention here Federal cabinet had accorded approval on March 28 to remove name of Babar Awan from ECL.
The federal cabinet while approving interior ministry summary through circulation had allowed to place 24 name in ECL too.
