Relatives of a late prisoner, who died of a cardiac attack, suspended the Pak-Afghan highway in Jamrud by putting body on the road on Sunday against the incident.
According to the Jamrud police, the deceased was identified as Noorul Amin son of Thameen, resident of Nai Abadi, Jamrud who had been taken in the last days of Ramadan from Tedi Bazaar in case of narcotics.
As the prisoner was a heart patient, on Saturday night he felt pain in his chest and after providing first aid, he was rushed to Hayatabad Medical Complex for necessary medical treatment; however he passed away on Sunday morning.
Relatives of the deceased said that two days before Eid-ul-fitr, their innocent kin was apprehended and later on charged him with having two kilogram Ice.
They blamed Adnan Afridi, Station House Office, Jamrud police station and District Police Officer (DPO),Khyber Saleem Abbas Kulachvi for conducting what they said the whole drama that was an injustice to them.
They demanded the police highup to immediately transfer the SHO and DPO otherwise they had no other option but to continue their agitation.
Due to road blockade, export and import was halted.
