ISLAMABAD
District and Sessions Court Islamabad while rejecting Khawar Maneka plea regarding mistrust on judge has adjourned the hearing of the case till May 06.
The judge remarked if arguments are not given on next hearing then the decision of the case will be announced.
Judge Shahruk Arujumand of district and sessions court Islamabad heard the central appeal pleas against conviction of PTI founder and his wife Bushra Bibi Tuesday.
The complainant Khawar Maneka, Suleman Akram Raja, PTI lawyers and others appeared in the court.
Raja Rizwan Abbasi advocate too appeared in the court along with his assistant advocate Aimal Khan advocate.
District and Sessions Judge Shah Rukh Arjumand announced the reserved judgment on Khawar Maneka petition for transfer of case.
Earlier at the inception of hearing of Nikah during iddat case, Khawar Maneka had expressed no confidence on sessions judge Shah Rukha Arjumand
Maneka had said court has gone in favor of PTI founder and party. Therefore, his case be shifted to some other court.
Judge Shah Rukh Arjumand remarked how you thought that court has gone to some one other favour. This is the first case in my entire life that some one is expressing mistrust on me.
The court directed Usman Riaz Gul to read out 526 and 528. He read out sections 526 and 528 before the court.
Usman Riaz Gul said hearing in respect of 90 percent appeals have taken place. If there is any threat to complainant then he should resort to respective forum.
Khawar Maneka said this is every where in my family that judge sahb will acquit PTI founder and his wife Bushra Bibi.
Suleman Akram Raja said that asking any court to transfer the case on this one sentence falls in the ambit of contempt of court. Recently Justice Babar Sattar has imposed fine in connection with petition of mistrust. Khawar Maneka has vilified the entire family.
Khawar Manika while addressing Suleman Akram Raja said you close friend Moazzam has made no call to you.
Suleman Akram Raja said he has made a call but I have given reply to him there can be no talks.
Khawar Maneka alleged he said to him that they can talk in Lahore.
Upon it counsels for PTI and Khawar Maneka exchanged harsh words.
Judge Shah Rukh Arjumand remarked we decide this case first and then see ahead.
Suleman Akram Raja said they are using such tactics at this stage. It is my request fine be imposed in regard to this petition.
Usman Riaz Gul advocate said if I level allegation without any evidence then punishment be awarded to me too.
The court reserved judgment.
The court later rejected Khawar Maneka plea and adjourned hearing of the case till May 8.
