The perpetrators and facilitators of the May 9 tragedy should be severely punished

Teachers, students of Army public school and members of civil society lit candles and offered fatiha for the martyred cops and also condemned the 9th May, 2023 incidents on Thursday evening .
In this connection a function was arranged outside Ayub gate of Punjab Regiment Center. Large numbers of teacher’s students of army public school, social workers, traders, journalists and people belonging to different walks of life attended the function. Participants of the function lit candles.
Participants of the function strongly condemned the ransacking of the government and security installations that caused over Rs2.5 billion losses to the cash-strapped country.
The participants demanded the award of strict punishment to all the attackers, facilitators and abettors of the May 9 mayhem so that no individual could dare to repeat such gory incidents in future.
They argued that May 9, 2023, was the blackest day in the country’s history as on this fateful day PBC, APP, Jinnah House, Govt and national monuments were attacked by the violent mob in a bid to destabilize the country.
They said that armed forces are the pride of the nation and the entire nation expressed solidarity with them. They said the sacrifices made by the Pakistan Army in the war against terrorism were matchless and the entire nation held them in high esteem. At the end of the function the participants offered fatiha for the martyred.
