DPO vows to eradicate criminal elements

District police officer, Zahoor Babar Afridi has said that the Mardan district is determined to be free from criminal elements, anti-social elements will be dealt with iron hand, ice is a disaster for the young generation, the police are after the death dealers.
He expressed these views while talking to a delegation of 15 members of senior journalists of Mardan Press Club.
The delegation was led by President Mardan Press Club M Bashir Adil and general secretary Akhunzada Fazl-e-Haq. DPO argued that Hujra has a central position in Pakhtun society. He added that Hujra has very positive effects on society.
Zahoor Babar added that police is pursuing a policy of attracting youth to Hujra to eliminate social evils. He argued that for this purpose, the inclination of people, especially young people, towards Hujra is at the level of police stations.
He added that Hujra is an important part of the culture of Pakhtuns in which there is a beautiful combination of traditions and training. DPO added that in order to protect the youth from the negative effects of digitalization, the Hujra has to be settled.
He said that community policing can improve law and order and clear instructions have been given to them to play their role in raising awareness against social evils by joining forces with people in the area. He added that this forum will be used for this purpose. The DPO added that to solve the minor issues on the local level the DRC are playing an important role.
