RAWALPINDI: Additional District and Sessions Judge Rawalpindi Khalid Mehmood Cheema has extended interim bail of two women for nine days nominated in the case of alleged mistreatment with Motorway police. The ladies nominated in the case including Minhal Suleman and Aanza Akhund were present in the court. The court however adjourned the hearing till June 14 after their attendance was marked. According to context of case the applicant Sami ur Rehman inspector Motorway police , he was deployed on duty along with his team to check speed. A car which was being driven by a lady was coming from Islamabad. In salt range area she drove the car at the speed of 80 kilometer per hour instead of 40 kilometer. He signaled the lady to stop the car. when she was asked to stop the car on side she did not do so. She neither got checked papers of car. A lady sitting on the other side of driving seat started making video besides hurling threats and abuses. They leveled allegation of corruption and harassment and escaped from the scene. The court had approved bail before arrest plea of both the ladies on May 29. Online
