Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Agriculture and Pro-Chancellor of Agricultural University Swat Major (retd) Sajjad Barkwal chaired the senate meeting of Agricultural University Swat at Governor House Peshawar.
Members of the Senate, representatives of Establishment, Finance and Higher Education Commission participated in the meeting. The meeting discussed in detail about the budget of Agricultural University Swat for the financial year 2024-25. In the meeting, while issuing orders to audit the budget of the financial year 2023-24 from a third party, the budget of the Agricultural University of Swat for 2024-25 was conditionally approved.
The Provincial Minister directed that within 6 months, the audit report of Swat Agricultural University should be submitted to the review meeting of the Senate.
In the meeting, the annual budget of the Agriculture university swat of Rs2331 million was presented, which was conditionally approved. There was a detailed discussion on the grant-in-aid given to the university by the provincial government and the Higher Education Commission Islamabad, while the staff of the university Salaries and other issues were also discussed.
On this occasion, Provincial Minister Major (Rtd) Sajjad Barkwal said that immediate work should be started on the audit report of the university and should be presented in the meeting of the Senate. A committee was formed to ensure timely audit of Agricultural University Swat and will present the audit report in the upcoming Senate meeting
