Chairperson, Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) Senator Rubina Khalid here Sunday visited Pir Baba Gordwara whete she met with Sikh community.
She said that BISP was a pro- poor welfare program aimed at financial empowerment of underprivileged segment of the society and all poor Pakistanis are eligible irrespective of their religious belief and political affiliation.
She met with women of Sikhs community and guide them about registration of this landmark program and directed the staff to facilitate them in the survey process besides addressing problems of all minorities so that they could become part of the program.
Rubina Khalid assured to include deserving women in the program after the survey.
She advised women to obtain disability certificate of the persons with disabilities in their families to include them in the program on priority basis.
She said that this program was above politics and all deserving Pakistani are eligible irrespective of their religious belief.
Senator Rubina Khalid was thanked by the Sikh community on arrival at Gordwara and appreciate her services for betterment of the minority community.
