The Charasadda Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested 37 persons involved in international drug trafficking, recovering around 34.900 kg ice from their possessions.
According to a statement, District Police Officer (DPO) Charasadda Masood Ahmad led operations were conducted across the districts against the international drug peddlers.
Police said that during the operations a huge quantity of weapons was also seized beside 34.904kg of ice.
A heavy contingent of SP Investigation Charsada Ehsan Shah Khan, Circle SDPs, SHOs, Ladies Police and other police participated in the operations.
During the operation, 37 international drug smugglers were arrested and 34 kg of 904 grams of ice, one LMG, 10 Kalashnikovs, 3 short guns, 6 rifles, 10 pistols and 709 cartridges were recovered.
DPO Charsada Masood Ahmad said that protecting the young generation from the scourge of drugs is our first priority.
He said that nose around the drugs peddlers in the district has been tightened and no one would be allowed to destroy the future of our young generation.
