PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government spokesperson Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif has criticized Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz for trying to take credit for Arshad Nadeem’s gold medal win in Paris Olympic 2024.
He accused them of showing up just to make a TikTok video and gain political mileage. In a statement issued here on Friday, Mr Saif accused Premier Shahbaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz of taking credit for Arshad Nadeem’s gold medal win “Arshad Nadeem won the medal through hard work, but the Sharif family tried to capitalize on his success” he said and added that the federal and Punjab governments did not provide any financial support to Arshad Nadeem for his Olympics preparation. Barrister Saif criticized the Sharif family for their alleged corruption and prioritizing their own interests over the country’s youth.
