CCPO reviews security for Chehlum procession in Peshawar

CCPO Qasim Ali Khan made a detailed review of the security arrangements for the mourning procession of Chehlum Imam Hussain.
Accompanied by senior police officers, CCPO also visited the inner city and command and control room set up for the Chehlum procession on Monday.
CCPO Qasim Ali Khan also reviewed the security and routes of the procession through the CCTV cameras in the command and control room.
He directed continuous sweeping of procession routes and important places by BDUs and sniffer dogs.
It is pertinent to mention here that security of the city for the procession of Chehlum has been put on high alert to maintain peace.
Coordination with the district administration and all other administrative bodies has been established for the peaceful conduct of the religious festival.
A special security and traffic plan has been created to solve the security and traffic problems of the city on the occasion of Chelum Imam Hussain
Peshawar According to the special security plan, around four thousand police officers and men are performing security duties.
Peshawar Apart from providing three-layer security to the mourning procession, personnel have also been deployed at plugging points and gun points
CCPO Peshawar Qasim Ali Khan said that Peshawar Police personnel in plain clothes have also been deployed in mosques and bazaars of the city, while strict monitoring of people staying in hotels and inns is ongoing.
To make security foolproof, armored vehicles, RRF, Ladies Police, ATS, City Patrol, Ababil Squad and DSB personnel are also performing their duties to make security effective, he said.
