They said that the privatization is being done with the connivance of the officers of the postal department.
They accused the officers of opening private couriers. They argued that the employees are being pressured to increase the revenue of the department.
They speakers argued that if the postal department was in loss then why 7000 recruitments were made during the PDM government. They added that the government is abolishing national identity institutions PIA, railways, PWD, Pakistan postal and utility stores.
Speakers said that 40,000 more employees of the postal department are not ready to accept the government’s decision in any case.
They added that management Boards have been empowered by taking the powers from DG Postal which is a cruel and excessive act.
The speakers warned that if the government did not stop the economic killing of postal employees and did not withdraw the decision of privatization, they would be forced to stage sit-in at Islamabad and the government will be responsible for it.
