MARDAN: At least five devotees were killed when a fire broke out in a mud house at Rustam Bagh Jibran area of Mardan on Saturday early morning. Police and rescue 1122 sources said. Sources added that a Manzoor Khan resident of Prang Charsadda told Rustam police that Saturday early in the morning sky lightning strike fell down on a mud house, built on a mountain, served as an accommodation for the devotees of a nearby shrine. As a result five people identified as Imdad Bacha, Naeem Khan residents of Alizai peshawar, Hayat Malag, Ikram Baba residents of Prang Charsadda, Ali Baba alias Kabali Baba resident of Uzbekistan currently leaving at Surah Dari burnt due to fire and died on the spot. He told police that the roof of the room collapsed due to fire. Rescue 1122 reached the spot and recovered the dead bodies. The firefighters rushed to the spot and started extinguishing the fire. The bodies were later shifted to a hospital. Rustam police station official registered a case on the complaint of Manzoor Khan. News Desk
