TAKHTH BHAI
Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has strongly opposed the provincial government’s decision to transfer management of Tehsil Headquarters Hospital (THQ) Takhth Bhai to a private entity, urging immediate withdrawal of what they termed an “anti-public” move.
The party has threatened to initiate a protest campaign in collaboration with other political groups and the public if the decision is not reversed.
Addressing the media at Takhth Bhai Press Club, former MPA Mian Nadir Shah, Mushtaq Ahmed Advocate, President of the Islamic Lawyers Forum Takhth Bhai, and Nauman Yousaf, a former provincial assembly candidate, condemned the government’s policies.
They criticized the administration for focusing on privatizing critical sectors such as healthcare and education rather than enhancing public services.
The leaders also accused local health advisors and elected officials of colluding to hand over the only public hospital in the region to an NGO, describing the move as an act of betrayal against the public interest.
They demanded an immediate reversal of the decision, warning that failure to comply would trigger widespread protests involving various political parties and the general public.
