Adviser to the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Finance and Inter-Provincial Coordination, Muzamil Aslam, has sharply criticized the federal and Punjab governments, claiming their assertions regarding industrial development are misleading and unsubstantiated.
Aslam highlighted alarming figures that reflect the country’s economic stagnation, pointing to a negative growth rate of 1.92% in industrial production for September and a 2.6% decline in August.
He stated that such data painted a grim picture of the country’s economic health and underscored the dire unemployment situation. Aslam’s comments were aimed at those celebrating the performance of the stock market, questioning how these figures could be reconciled with broader economic realities.
Aslam’s remarks reflect growing frustration with the federal and provincial administrations, urging them to address the root causes of the country’s economic difficulties rather than relying on superficial statistics and political rhetoric.

Commenting on the situation, Aslam remarked with irony, “It’s becoming increasingly difficult for me to determine which has the worst performance.
