Islamabad: The prices of solar batteries have dropped significantly following a record decrease in solar panel prices in the country. Dealers report a 20% reduction in solar battery prices. For example, a lithium solar battery, previously priced at 450,000 PKR, has now fallen to 380,000 PKR. Similarly, tubular batteries that used to cost 70,000 PKR are now being sold for 55,000 PKR. The per-watt price of solar panels has also decreased further, reaching a new low of 28 PKR. Dealers noted that major importers’ attempts to increase prices to 33 PKR per watt were unsuccessful. Due to smog and cold weather in Punjab, solar panel sales have slowed, leading some brands to reduce the prices of solar inverters by 3% to 5%. Web Desk
