Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) spokesperson Sheikh Waqas Akram has accused the federal government of spreading false narratives and fabricating evidence against PTI, claiming this campaign has been ongoing for over two years.
In a statement issued here, the PTI leader emphasized that Bushra Bibi, the wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, is not a political figure but a citizen exercising her right to protest for Pakistan’s “true independence.”
The statement criticized the government for alleged authoritarian tactics, including the use of fabricated evidence and harsh actions against peaceful protesters.
He highlighted the peaceful and disciplined nature of PTI’s protests, dismissing claims of violence and asserting that their movement is democratic and constitutional.
Commenting on Punjab government spokesperson Azma Bokhari statements, PTI warned that any loss of life during protests would be the government’s responsibility, accusing them of planning false flag operations to discredit the protest launched by PTI.
