Violent protests

Police registered a case against former Prime Minister Imran Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi and former President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi, among others, for violent protests by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on November 24.
The first case of the protest was registered under anti-terrorism provisions at Taxila police station. More than 300 local leaders and workers, including Opposition Leader Omar Ayub, Chief Minister KP Ali Amin Gandapur, Aleema Khan, Azam Swati, Taimur Masood, Shehryar Riaz, have been named in the case.
According to the text of the case, the protesters damaged a government motorcycle and vehicle, while the accused kidnapped a police driver and tortured him before releasing him.
