Rawalpindi: A delegation from the Real Estate Consultants Association (RECA), visited the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) and held discussions with President Usman Shaukat. The meeting focused on the current challenges in the real estate sector, including high taxes, regulatory issues, and possible solutions to revive the industry. President Usman Shaukat emphasized RCCI’s commitment to addressing the issues of the real estate and construction sectors, stating, “The Chamber will continue to raise its voice on all platforms to resolve the challenges faced by these vital industries. President Usman Shaukat reiterated that the construction sector plays a crucial role in the economy, with over 70 allied industries dependent on it. He warned that without immediate intervention, revenue losses and stagnation in economic activity would persist. He said, “The livelihood of millions is tied to this sector. Practical steps must be taken to revive construction, create jobs, and support associated industries. The government needs to prioritize this sector to drive national economic growth.”
The RECA delegation also congratulated President Usman Shaukat, Senior Vice President Khalid Farooq Qazi, and Vice President Fahad Barlas on their recent appointments, acknowledging their leadership and commitment to resolving industry challenges.
