TAKHT BHAI
An awareness event addressing violence and oppression against women was organized at Yasmin Bibi Girls College in the Pirsdo area of tehsil Takht Bhai. A large number of students and teachers from various girls’ high schools participated in the event.
Speaking at the event, the college principal, Madam Shabina Khan, highlighted the causes and long-term impacts of violence against women. She urged participants to raise their voices against such injustices and actively contribute to building a peaceful society.
The participants pledged to oppose forced marriages, honor killings, and all forms of violence while committing to a peaceful struggle for women’s rights. Madam Shabina emphasized that women play vital roles as mothers, sisters, and wives, which cannot be overlooked.
She reminded the audience that Islam accords women a high status and stressed following the Prophet’s example of respecting women wholeheartedly.
