Peshawar: Advisor to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Tourism, Culture, Archaeology and Museums, Zahid Khan has said that the government is initiating tourism and cultural activities in the merged districts to engage the youth in healthy activities. Promoting tourism in these districts and sending a positive message of peace to the world are the top priorities. In this regard, a two-day festival will be organized in Bajaur on December 14th and 15th at the Bajaur Sports Complex in Khar. The event will be jointly organized by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority, the Tourism Authority’s Merged Districts Wing, the Bajaur District Administration and the Bajaur Scouts. The festival will include activities such as a cycling race, martial arts competitions, and kabaddi and school children’s tableaus. Additionally, there will be a play land area for children, comedy skits, poetry recitals, traditional Attan dance performances, musical evenings and food stalls. Our Correspondent

Mardan: To promote a corruption-free society and raise awareness, the Water and Sanitation Services Company Mardan (WSSCM) here on Sunday took out an awareness walk attended by management staff of the company. The walk led by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Shahid Khan. The participants of the walk hold banners with the slogan against corruption. Addressing the occasion, CEO WSSCM Shahid Khan highlighted the importance of public awareness about the ill and serious effects of corruption. For the transparency in the society, we have to pave the way to eliminate the menace of corruption by promoting merit and self-accountability in order to remove the major obstacle in the development of the country. Shahid Khan stated that corruption is cancer which destroys societies. For which, we have to raise our voice against corruption and raise awareness at the public level.
