No negligence in anti-polio drive: Commissioner Bannu

Commissioner Bannu Muhammad Abid Khan Wazir has said that there is no room for negligence in the anti-polio campaign to get rid of this deadly disease. He said that the anti-polio campaign is a national duty, so everyone should contribute skills in preventing children from polio by contributing his efforts in the upcoming anti-polio campaign.
He said that to achieve the goals of the anti-polio campaign, the anti-polio campaign from 16 December to 20 December 2024 will be successful in every way.
He expressed these views while presiding over the meeting of the Divisional Task force at his office today.
On this occasion, Regional Police Officer Imran Shahid, Deputy Commissioner Bannu Abdul Hameed Khan, Deputy Commissioner North Waziristan Online, District Police Officer Bannu Ziauddin Ahmed, Additional Deputy Commissioner Lucky Online, District Police Officer Lucky Marwat and District Police Officer North Online, Health Department.
Officials while Regional Coordinator Eid Nawaz Shirani, District Health Officer Online and other related departments participated in the meeting.
On the occasion, Commissioner Bannu Division Muhammad Abid Khan Wazir said that the anti-polio campaign is a national duty and it has become inevitable for Bannu Division to eliminate every obstacle in the way of achieving the goals of anti polio campaign, In which the polio workers have to be diligent and strengthen the security situation so that every child can be vaccinated to eradicate the polio virus from the area permanently.
In the meeting, the relevant polio officers of Bannu district, Lakki Marwat and North Waziristan presented a performance report to the meeting and gave a detailed briefing. On this occasion, Commissioner Bannu Division urged the polio officers to intensify their efforts to achieve success in anti-polio campaigns and said that they use all their abilities till the completion of the upcoming set goals.
Commissioner Bannu Division emphasized that providing security to the workers participating in the polio campaign is the first priority. In addition, the Divisional and District administration of the entire division will provide all the necessary and legitimate needs of the teams participating in the anti-polio campaign with fulfilling of the demands. However, there will be no compromise on the achievement of the set goals of the next anti-polio campaign.
