The meeting was attended by key officials, including District Police Officer Sajjad Ahmed Sahibzada, District Health Officer, Assistant Commissioners, and representatives from various departments such as Health, Education, Police, EPI, N-Stop, WHO, Third Party Monitors, and other relevant sectors.
During the meeting, a detailed briefing was provided regarding the performance of the fifth day of the campaign, said an official handout.
It was highlighted that special efforts had been made to address refusals, as achieving the campaign targets would not be possible without addressing this issue.
Additionally, the micro plan for the campaign had been updated, leading to increased coverage in the drainage UCs.
DC Sara Rehman emphasized the importance of strict action against any officials who showed negligence or laxity, stressing that polio eradication is a national duty and there will be no compromise in this effort.
She assured that, like this campaign, she would personally lead future campaigns, urging the team to work collaboratively to build on the improvements seen during this campaign.
The DC praised the officials who performed well and expressed hope that the same level of dedication would continue in future efforts.
She also appealed to all parents to ensure that their children up to the age of five receive anti-polio drops during every campaign, underscoring that without the full cooperation of parents and the community, the complete eradication of polio would not be possible.
