PESHAWAR: Director General (DG) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA) Tashfeen Haider here Saturday inaugurated three-day Khyber Food Festival at the Karnal Sher Khan Stadium. Speaking on the occasion, KPCTA DG said that “We welcome private sector initiatives for such activities and would provide all possible support.” The event was jointly organized by KPCTA, and Bank of Khyber. He said that event provides a wonderful opportunity for families to come with their children and enjoy the festivities. Various food stalls and pavilions showcasing cuisines were established while spaces were also allocated for traditional musical performances. Stalls of traditional items that were set up in the festival included wheat straw art, handmade crafts by women from small industries, wax products, jewelry, clothing and ood options such as Chapli Kabab, Painda, Pulao, Turkish dishes, Golgappas, Quetta tea, burgers and much more. The festival also includes a play area, magic shows, and various competitions for children. APP
