Advisor to the Chief Minister on finance Muzzammil Aslam on Wednesday announced that the provincial government has approved the allocation of land in Peshawar for the establishment of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP).
According to an official handout, the 5-kanal plot, owned by the Peshawar Development Authority, is situated in Phase 7 of Hayatabad.
Muzzammil Aslam stated that the ICAP administration will begin work immediately to establish a state-of-the-art institute in the region.
He emphasized that the establishment of the ICAP institute was a significant step and a special gift for the youth of KP, in line with the vision of the province’s Chief Minister, Ali Amin Gandapur.
Aslam highlighted that previously, the youth of KP had to travel to other provinces or Islamabad to pursue chartered accountancy education.
He pointed out that no previous government had allocated land for such an institute in the province. The new initiative marks an important milestone in providing quality education and professional development opportunities for the youth of KP.
