BAHAWALPUR: A team of the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) discarded sub-standard food items including soft drinks in several areas here on Saturday. According to a press release issued here, under the supervision of PFA Director Operations South Shehzad Khan Magsi, a team visited several commercial areas and markets and inspected quality of food items. “The team found sale of several sub-standard food items in different markets and discarded those item,” it said. The sub-standard food items included over 1,000 litres of carbonated soft drinks, over 90 litres of sugar syrup, over 10 litres of expired syrup and bakery items. News Agency
