Maqsood Shah has been elected president of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Teqball Association and Mian Wajahat Ali has been elected secretary general.
A meeting was held in Peshawar for the election, in which representatives of DI Khan, Bannu, Kohat, Malakand, Mardan, Hazara and Peshawar divisions participated, Amjad Khan from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Olympic Association, Syed Jafar Shah from Directorate General Sports and Mian Rahat Shah from Pakistan Teqball Federation participated as observers.
According to the results, Muhammad Tawfiq was elected senior vice president, Jamal Aziz, Maryam Bashir, Muhammad Junaid and Shafiq Ahmed were elected vice presidents, Nimra Rehman was elected treasurer, Abdullah Jan was elected senior associate secretary, Maria Kanwal, Salman Shah and Asad Ayaz were elected associate secretaries and Yasir Islam was elected public relations officer. Muhammad Ibrahim, Zufshan Yasir, Khadija and Safa Marwa were elected for the executive committee.
On this occasion, the newly elected president thanked all the officials and reiterated that he would take vigorous steps for the promotion and development of the game of Teqball in the province. He said that there is a lot of talent for tagball in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Mian Absar Ali, founder of the Pakistan Teqball Federation, said that we are working to promote Teqball in Pakistan.
This game is new, so we have to work hard. We are soon starting a series of training camps and coaching courses to spread awareness about tagball across the country, which will promote the game of Teqball.
