PESHAWAR: In a bid to address immediate healthcare needs of the Upper Kurram, the provincial government on Friday dispatched another consignment of emergency medicines and essential supplies to Parachinar, a handout said. The consignments of medicines were delivered on the special directives of Advisor to the Chief Minister on Health Ihtesham Ali through Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s helicopter. “Weighing 1500 kilograms, the medicines were delivered to Parachinar in a single flight using the government’s helicopter,” the statement added. The consignment includes antibiotics, syrups, painkillers, and essential medicines for children. These supplies have been officially handed over to the Medical Superintendent of Parachinar. CM aide on Health Ihtesham Ali has assured that until ground routes were restored, the supply of medicines will continue via helicopters to ensure uninterrupted healthcare services for the affected population. He further announced that the next batch of medicines would be dispatched next week. The Health Advisor reiterated the commitment of the KP government to prioritize the basic needs of its citizens and to utilize all available resources for resolving the challenges faced by the affected regions.
